AI SmartHome Camera App

Install the AI SmartHome app, add your gateway and cameras, and learn how to view live video, play back recordings, and configure recording, alarm, light, and PIR settings.

The AI SmartHome app lets you pair Wi-Fi cameras to an NVR gateway and manage them from your phone or tablet — live view, playback, recording schedules, alarm and floodlight control, and motion (PIR) detection.

Add the gateway

Before you start

Connect your phone to the same Wi-Fi router that the gateway is connected to, and make sure your phone's Wi-Fi is enabled.

When you open the app for the first time it shows an Info — Please add device! prompt. Tap OK to add the gateway, then add it using one of three methods:

  • Manually input UID — type the gateway UID by hand.
  • Search UID from LAN — let the app discover the gateway on your local network; tap the device that appears (for example ZAVLDAX7JL6G8X1H111A).
  • Scan QR Code to input UID — scan the QR code printed on the side of the gateway.

After the gateway is found, confirm the device name, UID, and password (default password 12345), then save.

Tap OK, then add the gateway by UID, LAN search, or QR scan

On Android, open Add Device → Device Setting, enter the UID (or tap Scan to scan the QR code, or Search to find it on the LAN), set the name and password, then tap OK.

Pair a camera

Turn on the AI SmartHome app and tap + Add Camera.

On the Add prompt ("Do you want to pair camera 1?"), tap OK to continue.

Press the Pairing button on the camera within 30 seconds to finish pairing. The app shows "Please press the camera pairing button once to pair."

The app shows the newly added camera and Pairing Success, indicating camera pairing is finished.

Camera order and re-pairing

The NVR supports up to 4 cameras. The order of priority to add cameras is: camera 1 / camera 2 / camera 3 / camera 4. If you want to add a new camera to a channel that already has a paired camera, you must delete the paired camera first and then add the new one.

For example, if channel 1 already has a paired camera (camera 1), before adding a new camera to channel 1 you must first delete the existing paired camera: Settings icon → Delete Camera Pair → select the camera to delete → OK to confirm. "Set successfully / camera removed successfully" indicates the camera has been deleted.

One viewer at a time

The app only supports 1 user replaying a recorded video at a time. If several users try to replay the recorded video at the same time, only the first user can successfully play it. The remaining users cannot replay the video and the app will show a warning:

  • Warning: "At this moment other people are playing... Please wait and try again."
  • Sorry, this event is currently being played on another device.

What the colors mean

  • Green — camera PIR is on; the camera will record a video once PIR detection is triggered.
